This site provides an online precise point positioning service, which is currently in its testing phase. After registration, users can upload satellite observation data (in RINEX 2.xx or 3.xx format) and obtain positioning results through precision point positioning.
The service uses a post-processed mode for PPP calculations, supporting the latest precision ephemeris and clock products from January 1, 2021 to 2024/09/06, and then switching to use rapid ephemeris and clock products until 2024/09/13. The ITRF (International Terrestrial Reference Frame) for the positioning results is ITRF2014 until November 26, 2022, and thereafter, ITRF2020.
The maximum file size for uploading satellite observation data is 400MB, with the highest sampling frequency being 1 Hz. The length of observations shall be no less than 3 hours and no more than 24 hours.
To reduce PPP calculation failures caused by RINEX format errors, users can first download the GFZRNXsoftware to check the format. Open the CMD window, execute the following command, and then upload the format-checked file to this site for PPP calculation. GFZRNX.exe -finp filename -fout ::RX2:: -chk -f -kv
There are two processing kernels: Kernel 1supports dual constellation (GPS+Glonass) static positioning mode; Kernel 2supports static and kinematic positioning mode. When the satellite observation data includes sufficient measurements from multiple constellations, it is possible to choose between dual constellation (GPS+Glonass), triple constellation (GPS+Galileo+BeiDou), or quadruple constellation (GPS+Glonass+Galileo+BeiDou).
If the user selects the triple constellation (GPS+Galileo+BeiDou) for PPP calculation, but the satellite observation data only includes dual constellation (GPS + GLONASS), then the PPP positioning results obtained will be based on single constellation (GPS), reducing the accuracy of positioning results. Users must first understand the constellations included in the satellite observation data before PPP calculations.
Select Static_K mode in kernel 2 allows for obtaining kinematic positioning results under static observation conditions.
Antenna height options include APC and ARP refers to the antenna height measured from the marker to the antenna phase center, whereas ARP refers to the antenna height measured from the marker to the bottom of the antenna.
On the Report page: The Ori. RINEX refers to the satellite observation data uploaded by the user, and the Proc. mode refers to the calculation settings for the task. The outputs include the Post. RINEX which is the satellite observation data checked for format and clock jump, RINEX graph. and QC graph. (in HTML format, resampled to 30 seconds), QC text report ( QC rep. ), and the positioning result report ( POS rep. ). QC stands for Quality Check.
